Fuck me they'll tell you what bathroom to use, what medical procedures you can have, they'll fucking deport you without cause or process, they'll cut money to FEMA, they'll get a fucking free airplane only to have to spend billions to get it operational, they'll tell you it's Biden's fault, it's Obama's fault, it's Clinton's fault, it's fucking Jimmy Carter's fucking fault, they will site stupidity and back it up without evidence and stand by it 100%, and yet when it comes to paying attention to detail, well the kids in the back of the class just don't have what it takes. Case in point, the so-called flooding in Texas that supposedly killed people. so far the Republican, in charge by the way both state and pretty sure they have a stranglehold on all the positions so clearly this ball in directly in their court. So if early indicators are correct they were short staffed at the weather service because of a) mis-management, b0 short staffed because of DOGE/Trump c) short staffed due to DEI d) short staffed because of zero applicants. This area that floods, supposedly, apparently has done this before. Was it a million years ago, ten, one hundred - I don't know but it is clear from reporting - this has happened before. So what are they supposed to do? Prepare? That seems tedious. But it seem like something that should be thought about and maybe by people that live in the community, like a council or a legislative body, you know that actually get paid by constituents to resolve situations like this, come up with solutions but instead we get finger pointing and thoughts and prayers. You get what you vote for.
