So a fun fact I learned about Texas when I was looking something else up. Turns out Kerr County knew they had flash flood potential. They even talked about an alert system. There was FEMA money that came along but Kerr County didn't get any because other areas of Texas apparently were more vital. At some point recently Kerr County had a plan in place for early warning at the cost of about a million dollars . . . except one county commissioner rejected the plan because he didn't want the alarm going off in the middle of the night,
